1" drop and GFX?

Right now I have the stock springs along with the Wings West GFX kit. I wanna drop the car b/c the wheel gap looks terrible. I also have 17" Z06 rims...

I was looking into either the DMS or Hotchkins lowering springs since they claim to lower 1"-1.3".

Will I be ok with that drop and the GFX. Speed bumps really arent an issue in my area, the biggest thing Id have to be worried about are the crappy roads...

I have the DMS springs and I have a Wings West GFX kit waiting to be painted (still waiting after a year.. ). When I first got the ground effects, I test fit them on the car and left them there for a couple weeks to get a feel for it. It's not a problem at all, totally driveable. Just don't go nose first into a parking stop or something like that.

Anyone know how much clearance you lose on that kit?

I live in Iowa and right now it's fine in the winter(my one and only car, so I have to drive it then), but will it survive a winter with the kit?

Even a better question yet, will it survive backing out of my drive way?
