HP PAVILION XH535 LAPTOP
I have a pretty nice laptop for sale. It is not perfect, but works very well for what it is. Only things wrong with are- The case has some cracks on it. Mainly from being in a crappy laptop case. I have ran a bead of superglue along the cracks and they are very sturdy, just like they weren't there, but you can still see them. Still a VERY solid case. The fan on the bottom makes a noise when you first turn on the laptop, but goes away after about 5-10 seconds. I searched out on ebay and found you can pick up the fan mechanism for about $10, just never got around to ordering one since it doesn't affect anything. The battery doesn't work, but I am wondering if it is a software issue, as you can see it charge, and you can click on the battery info on the info bar and it shows that it is there and has a full charge. It's like the computer can't switch over to it. Runs fine off of ac power. Lastly, the ac cord end had gotten messed up, so I went to radio shack and got a new plug end and attached it, looks ok, but it works. I have ordered a new ac adapter, and it will be included with the laptop, but it hasn't gotten to my house yet, still in the mail.
Everything else on the computer works great. No dead pixels, or messed up places on the screen. All the keys work, mouse pad works great also.
Has a fresh COPY of Windows XPpro. I don't have the discs that came with it. It has a product key on the bottom for Windows XP home, so I guess you could call microsoft and get a copy of XP home and be able to use it.
Also included with the computer is a Blitzz NetWave 802.11b Wireless card. Works great, and with this the computer is pretty damn fast on a wireless network browsing the internet.
Basicly this is a very good computer with some case blemishes. If you don't need it to be portable, you will never miss the battery, but if the battery is the problem, you can get one off ebay for like $50. Great computer to have to browse the net, or do what ever with it.
Looking to get $390 shipped for it. Blackdeathm3@yahoo.com.
