1997 Ktm 125 Sx
1997 Ktm 125 Sx
Needs a little work, but it runs ok and rides good.
I've recently put a new rear spocket, new clutch and brake levers, new shift lever, new water pump shaft seal, new countershaft seals.
I took the bike to a dealer for service thinking the bike needed a clutch, and they discovered that it was installed incorrectly by the previous owner. So they installed it properly. A new inner clutch hub, and outer clutch basket were installed at that time.
I have a few new parts for the bike that go with it. I have new black rubber fork boots, and a Delta V-Force 2 reed setup that are not installed yet. I also have a new Factory FX (I think that's the brand) seat cover as well. Also included will be two new clutch kits, one is a DP clutch and the other is a Tusk.
The bike is currently orange with some purple accents, and I was planning to change it to orange/black.
I know the handle bars are *slightly* tweaked. It's not been wrecked hard since I got it, so it must have happened before I took possession of the bike.
I was told by the dealer that the bike needs bearings in the bottom end. This shouldn't be a difficult job, but since I have the 250 SX now, I don't want to do the work. The bike is still ridable as it is (although it feels like it could use some jetting work), and seems to run just fine. I think it's just about time to have the engine freshened up is all.
