Nothing I can prove one way or the other. In my case the engine was down on power from the previous season, 2/10 and 2mph avg. Came back the following season when I went back to the plasma molies.

My blower friends talked of ring flutter or unloading at hi rpm. They tried different tune-ups for about a half season then went back to what they had before, they are 5.80/5.90 cars One was div 6 champ. This was 94/96, they may have changed or improved the gapless ring sets, but I tend to stay with what works for me and I'm just a bracket racer, I don't have to worry about hitting a number, just 200 passes a year without breaking.

Keith Dorton worked alot with Total Seal and Mahle to maximize ring seal. Bret
I take it, Max Seal is a competitor of TS, and not one of Total Seal's line of gapless ring.

And the same story gets told over and over about gapless rings.... "gasses get trapped between the top and 2nd ring, unseating the top ring..... flutter". Yeah, some guys even use pistons with an accumulator groove which is suppose to help.... but why?
Why go through all the trouble when a Speed Pro works so well? I've never seen horsepower figures that'd change my mind the other way either. I don't believe any of the Nascar boys will be giving up their inferior "gapped" rings anytime soon... time will tell.

Fortunately for them, the concern over varying chamber temps is not an issue. Such is not the case for those that must deal with varying temps, from being either on, or off boost. What is too 'wide' for one, is just right for the other. What is just right for the former, will be 'butt' city for the latter. Time to stop, B4 I get confused.

How do you compare the Speed Pro Rings to the Childs and Albert Rings?
I was considering the TS Gapless Rings, but after reading the reviews here, I have ruled them out.
Now, I'm left with a decision to make here. What's the best available ring for a 383 Stroker 6" rods, 11.5:1 compression N/A LT1?
I have a bent valve, and possibly damage to a piston. Worst case scenario, I'll be buying a replacement piston (JE Pistons) and re-ring the rest. My goal is to do this right. A bad decision this deep into an engine, it's a co$tly one.

I want the best, but I also want to keep it simple if I can help it.

THX-Goose.
