10.5 to 1 BBC... the car is runing a lil rich. I went to advace auto and picked up a set just to get it runing. What kinda plug should i run. My friend told me if i get a hotter plug it mite not run so rich
Plugs won't do any change to the fuel adjustment if the engine is running rich. The what the carb/injectors do. Plugs burn the available fuel in the cylinder. The temperature range of the plug needs to be hot enough to burn off deposits but cold enough so that the tip of the plug doesn't melt.
If the plugs are fouled with carbon deposits then go to a hotter plug. If they're fouled with oil etc, fix the burning oil problem first. If the plugs are clean with a nice tan color, leave them alone.

Fuel pressure should be no more than 7psi. If it has a choke, make sure the choke is fully open. Make sure the air filter is clean. Check all the idle mixture screws. If the engine doesn't idle down or die when any one of them is screwed in, the the butterflies are open too much at an idle and the fuel transfer slot is being exposed at an idle.
After all that, read the plugs for color. Light tan is what you're looking for. Best way to check, engine should be at operating temperature. Drive down the highway at WOT for a about 10 seconds then shut the engine off and coast to a stop. Pull the plugs and check the color. If they're black and sooty, drop the jet sizes down 2 sizes and try again. Also check to make sure the power valves aren't blown (assuming a holley or demon carb). Make sure the float levels are not too high.
Not all carbs are the same. Holley makes many 750 carbs. While one list number may work perfect on your car, another list number may run rich just because of how the carb is metered internally. This also goes for all the other sizes of their carbs.
