Used stroker kit for $600--worth it?

I found a used stroker kit for $600. It has a cast steel crank, forged rods, and hypereutectic pistons. I wanted to spray it with 150 shot. I was wondering if this kit would be worth buying and use the pistons or get forged pistons.

What is the stuff?

It would all need to be inspected etc. All I can say is for $600 you get what you pay for.

If your smart and willing to do your homework then deals can be had and you can go fast for cheap. But when you gamble you always take a chance....I try to never forget that b/c I always search for deals. If I didn't there is no way I could ever afford to do this

It's an Eagle cast steel crank, Eagle forged rods and Keith Black pistons. I just thought if it wasn't too bad of a deal I would put together something with all the parts I have already. The most I'm gonna spray to it, still have to buy a kit, would be 150. I still have all the stuff I got from you and I want to put something together.

well if you go ahead and try it......If everything is done right, it will run good, it may not last as long as high dollar stuff. But plenty of people run cheap set-ups and have fast cars.

I see alot of eagle stuff.....I know its not the greatest but alot of fast cars run eagle stuff. I would not bother with those pistons.....Get a good set.

Cool thanks. I think I will get some good forged pistons and see what happens. Thanks for all your help.
