Are there any reverse flow cooling aftermarket blocks?

I was wondering if there are any... i haven't found one.

with the upcoming 7L engine from the c6 z06 and its new heads that supposedly will flow around 370cfm (which I still don't believe). Having an aluminum 7L engine is a neat option or upgrade.

Since aftermarket aluminum blocks are not as easy on installation of factory parts and since aftermarket aluminum blocks are extremely expensive, the iron was pretty much the choice to go. But... with the iron blocks, are there any that have reverse cooling?

i dont know what they flow but i do know they are factory CNC ported heads.

I think the last figure i heard was 200g/s or minture or something like that at SAE conditions.
theres mass flow, convert it to volume flow after you google air density

I don't think so, there was a dicussion on this not too long ago and they were talking that you could only have one custom made and that it woudl be far too expensive.

Why not? Im not sure what type of heads are no the new Z06 but for comparison C5R heads are supposed to be able to flow ~400cfm

And why do they ONLY make 600HP? shouldn't they make around 800 with 400cfm flow?

It probably has a very mild cam in it, with 427ci and 370cfm(assuming they flow that stock) it would be really easy to make 500hp.

If they put the ACTUAL cam from the z06 they should make EASY 600HP with the 370cfm flow.

I believe the air intake is the size of a straw on that car due to the rules of the Gts class

I have a silly feeling there will be a Z06 (nice car) anda Z06"R" or superZ06 to help in the GTS class and such.

That extra few inches they cut on the C6 is going to hurt them on the track. Concidering the great sucess they had this year, dont expect them to stop. And hell, when your budget is $20m, its awfully hard not to

aero

ever notice how long supercars are? look at the s7

the car is shorter but the wheelbase is longer
sure about that? wonder why they'd do that... typically you want your difusser out far and tighter wheelbase...

See the chart at the bottom of the page:

http://www.vetteweb.com/features/0405vet_newc6/

WB is 1.2 in. longer for the C6 and oveall is 5.1 in. shorter for the C6.
