Teflon coated bearings...

Do they work???

I have clevite 77 bearings...

Read somwhere that nascar guys found ~80hp on that because the oil didn't stick to the bearings and the oil flows and doesn't create weight nor create drag on the bearing...

Let me know..

We are talking about nascar engines that rev 9k or so...

but it could gain 10-15 to a sreet engine?

and.. whydo you recommend them?

I was thinking about pulling the engine.. since I still need to remove heads and trans for clutch install.. why not get the engine out? but anyways... I will probably not do it for now... but still.. want to know what you guys think about bearings.

Guy close by does a lot of coating for Canadian Military, (insulcoat and heat transfer coatings for intercoolers and rads) Has all the stinkbugs in there getting bearings coated, tells me they need it to stay together.
Seems for what it costs can only be good (3 dollars a shell)
