Super Vic and 4150 TB?

Okay, Im looking into converting to a Super VIC possibly going to reg distributor also.

Which super vic do I use?

Summit has a Super vic for Vortech heads already with Injector bungs. Will this fit on the heads (as in flat and ports line up)
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EDL-29135/

I know I need to convert the bolt holes still.

Also im looking into a 4150 style Throttle body.

Now I am forced induction prob be tossing 15-20PSI thru my 383 Single turbo.

This is a street/strip car. Would I be fine with the 1,550 CFM or would it be really laggy not in boost?

Here are the accel ones.

ACC-74202S2 .....1550cfm
ACC-74202S3 .....1350cfm
ACC-74202S4 .....1200cfm

Shooting for 750-800RWHP on pump gas

I just purchased a hurricane efi single plane for sbc , they can be purchased polished or not . Found it new on e-bay , lines up port wise well , I'm going to convert the heads to std. sbc to match intake bolt pattern , it appears that if you try to convert the intake to lt1 bolt pattern the center bolt holes will interfere with the intake runners.

There is some interference, but not if you take a little material off the runners. I did and didn't have an issue. The Vic manifold is real thick on the runners right where the bolt heads interfear, so taking off enough material to get them to work is no problem, then use a small head 12 point 3/8" bolt and your good.

WHats the Ball park for getting the Super Vic operational on an LT1...if you already have TB and injectors you would need the following correct?:

Holes drilled X amout $$
Fuel rail=X amount$$
Thermostat hole plugged=X amount $$
Distributer hole welded ****=X amount $$
Intake runner portwork for port alignment=X amount$$
Holes drilled for Misc Vacuum fittins from the LT1 manifold=X amount$$
Nitro Daves TB adapter=X amount$

I did an estimation juss kinda half assed guessing what it would take, and come up with about $1600 to get a Vic up and running on an LT1..am I ballpark?

depending on how you go about...

Me...

Intake-$140
Vortec distrib -$175
Injector bungs- free
hole mode- free
welding/cutting thermostat-maybe $20-30 bucks (good friend welds)
Throttle body-600
Throttle body hat-$200 or free if I build one at work.
Rails- modify LT1 rails (already modded for -8an)

Parts I sell...

Ported intake-$150
BBK TB -$225
TF elbow-$65

Random other ****...

So since I work in a machine shop and pretty well build everything myself it shouldnt be bad!

Ken R.

But using a sbc intake bolt pattern gives you more options on gaskets. You can get them in different port sizes and differnet thicknesses.

O.K. The link in the OP was for the 29135 which is the EFI version. With the Vortec dizzy, you should have enough signal to run coil packs with the MSII.

Good luck and keep us posted.
