stroker main stud and head bolts

stroker main stud and head bolts

here the prob i got for the main studs i have arp 134-5401 2 bolt mains no windage tray and arp 134-3701 head bolts 12 pt


its been 2 yrs since i first assembled the motor and no its apart for a freshin up and i cant find my info for the TQ specs



so i need the specs for both bolt kits if any one can help i would appreciate it

tried calling ARP and there closed till wed called summit and jegs to see if they had a spec listing and no luck there


and im trying to get this bad boy together as a shortblock so i can get the new SR degreed in and ready to rock and roll and be installed by next weekend

how about going and looking in a 'hanes', manual or something for trucks, anything that's got a 350 in it and steal the torque specs out of there, otherwise, google it, you'd be amazed.

i have googled the **** outta it cant find also searched here several times

as far a manual " hanes" thats for stock **** im sure arp doesnt excatly TQ to stock specs if so then i would have this bitch built

Mains and bolts with ARP Lube should be 70 ft lbs. I have the stuff written on the wall in my assembly room, so you'll have to give me a bit to double check that and get back to you. I think they are the same for both.

Bret's pretty close if not right on. I just tourqued mine almost two weeks ago and depending on which lubricant you use for the threads will determine final tourque. (I think they're within 5 lbs of each other not too much difference) I won't be able to get you the exact # until Wed. The sheet they gave me is at my shop.

Bret is correct I believe - 190,000psi 7/16-20 studs go to 70ft/lbs

65 is the stock spec(head bolts), and what ARP lists for their bolts, I usually go to 70 on both.

Yep checked the wall, 70 ft lbs with ARP moly lube and 85 w 30W oil for both.
