Just started my car with new SR cam (224 236 .578 .603) sounds milder than a hot cam and I don't hear any lifter noise I am using comp cam marine street solids and stock AFR 210 lt4 spring had larger solid in car last year (236 248 .603 .616) car was a lot noiseier due to overlap even though both cams ground on 114 put over 7000km on car over summer.

Now have over 16 pound vac at 800 and smooth idle hope now that I'm not blowing boost out exhast to make more power (had over 500 at wheels at 7psi)

Solid cam cost for solid cam lashing solid cam

I think those Endure-X lifters are the way to go. I don't see a down side to them except maybe the price. They are what I plan to order in a week or two.

Love the cam, the first cam sounded so good it was almost like sex. Not sure if actually made more power than I could have made with a hydralic. Car made 128 mph 11.4 1.9 60' on 7-8 pounds boost.

I was told the marine solids were the most reliable.

No problems with cam or lifters, every time I checked lash it was OK. Just big problems tryng to get coolant leaks fixed ( don't ever use copper head gaskets )

I think people with forced induction or nitrous cars make a little too much out of cam selection. My belief is if you put enough boost or nitrous on a lawnmower it will run 10's.

I was around Cartech a long time ago when they did a turbo Mustang that did over 200 mph. I saw them change cams, port the heads and try all kind of tricks. The only trick that worked was bumping up the boost.

I think it makes a bigger difference for a street car's driving characteristics. That's the whole idea - small cam + big boost = fun on the street.
