Slick idea, I'm interested in seeing what it does......I wonder if they would alow something like that in stock class racing.

I know some of the SBC guys modify the LT1 heads to run on the older engines, If the ford boys start with the LS heads they could really have something

Some local 10.5" Real Street guys run 470" SBF.

Some of the organizations have a 480" limit!

I talked to an engine builder today......said this is old news, he did a boat about 5 years ago. The intake was custom made so your just better off getting a good set of ford heads

yeah and some ford heads can flow alot more than that, even stock cleveland heads.

A few weeks ago we had a car, its a 10.5" car foxbody with a windsor motor.....fogger on it, runs 7.70's but its 450+ci and the heads flow 400 cfm, it a ford head with a cast intake. I think thats pretty impressive. Why aren't the LS guys really stepping up to the plate? they have even better to work with but noone has a class or anything.

I got word today of a really nast 350 ci LS w/ls7 heads. its going to be a monster.

Even thogh the heads flow don't make it fast, I see alot of LS1 cars with way better heads than I have and can't touch my old LT.....

Yeh I have seen LS1 style head flow less and go pretty damn quick.

The only small block Ford head I know of that will flow 400cfm is a Blue Thunder....BUT I have been out of those circles for GOOD while now.

Still pretty cool to see someones light bulb go off and say "HEY, that might work!"

You can get that out of a 243 casting! ETP castings just cost a BUNCH more.

Either way a Victor Glidden head can move 400cfm so why build a Ford with a LS1 head? It would be much cheaper to just run a LS1 in the car instead!
