shifting to early.

shifting to early.

i got a 1967 camaro ss, 350 with a th-350. my tranny shifts at 4300. and its really startin to get to me. im barly in my powerband for a few seconds then it shifts. i dont know much about the tranny. all i know is that is has a shift kit. dont know what springs or anything though. how would i make it shift right around 5700-6000?

if you put the pedal to the floor, it should go to the rev limiter shouldnt it

ive never hit the rev limiter. even in neatural. not even sure if i have one. ive had to to 6000 and nothin. my tranny shifts at 4300 when its to the floor. and yes my throttle is opening all the way. and all my vaccum hoses are hooked up.

what about the vacuum part on the side of the trans is that hooked up

yes. the vaccuum hose is hooked up on the tranny. all of my hoses are hooked up.

what about the check ***** in the valve body? or what about the springs that get replaced (like the ones in a shift kit) if not that then have the tranny rebuilt
