Quick oil pressure problem question...
Re: Quick oil pressure problem question...
If you want to make things simple I would stop sitting on the internet and just take off the oil pan if it is that big of a problem. Why would you want to risk ANY more problems by trying to trouble shoot something internal? If your carbon fibre air filter isn't shiny anymore then you could start a topic about how to shine it. My point is you won't know what the problem is unless you look at it... none of us have ESP or can see through walls (at least not that I know of
) Just my 1/64 of a cent...

There's one other not so common but simple thing it could be (happened to me). Go ahead and drain the oil (smaking the pan to hear something jump arpund is a good idea
). Be sure to pull the oil level sender and make sure it didn't CATO on you. The little plastic "float" on the end can breakup and clog the screen on the pickup.
Just a thought...

Re: Quick oil pressure problem question...
S#&$!! Take it easy on me NeverEver.... I didn't expect anyone to tell me what was wrong. Was just looking for suggestions on what it might be before I tear into it. Doesn't matter either way now though cause like I said earlier in the post, this just gives me an excuse to do what I want now and i'm already on jack stands. So this will be my troubleshooting method: 1)Pull old engine. 2)Drop in new 383. 3)Take apart old engine and poke around. 4)Take car out and drive really fast! And yes, I am sitting on the internet, but it's only to see how many times my credit card will work.
