The question: To stroke or to Destroke? (350)
I have kicked this around too, I have a 3.27 stroke crank from a LS1 4.8 Sierra.
But, for my supercharger setup, there's no real advantage for me to give up the 30 or more cubes.
If you build a high revving motor, keep in mind that folks rarely shift about 8500 rpms in a solid roller race motor.

Nah Im just gonna go with a stroker and make it all roller and full float pins so I can rev it up pretty high anyway.
Now Ive been seing these 396 strokers talked about a little. How do I make one of those???

ive ssen a 396 projec car in some mag but it was an ls1 and they re sleved to to bore it 4.1 wich is .10 over and thats imposible with a steel block. you dont need a steel crank you can get a 383 crank ofset ground to any size you want and get some custom pistons and rods made. clearence may bee a problem though. then youd be near the 400ci goal.

I got someone to help me with this in another thread, its actually just about as easy as a 383, just a little more $ cause you have to buy a forged crank
