Question on airbag light

I have a question on the airbag light...the car in question is a 2001 Camaro V6...anyways...here is the situation:

I had a regular MPH cluster on my Camaro and everything was fine...I installed a new cluster from a V8 Camaro converted to KPH but I had it calibrated for a V6 by Specmo in Michigan. So, everything works fine with the 250 kph cluster.

The problem is, when I switched the cluster, I have a constant airbag light. Does this mean the airbag system is not active? And what could it be caused by? Could it be in the cluster itself or something?

The car has not been in any accidents or anything similar that could trigger the light or whatever.

Please help.

Re: Question on airbag light

I would try putting the old cluster back on to see what the light does. That would at least rule out the cluster if it stays on.
