Pro's & Con's of Hell fire rings

This is for a Fi set up...

Just looking for some feed back on these ring everyone say's they are the best BUT they are harder on the cyl walls and you will be down a few HP...Is this all true.

How many KM can you get on a set of HFR with daily use ie: 8000km a year...
What kinda power level / boost do you need these rings
How often would a rebuilt be need
Where do the tool steel rings fit into all this....

What other rings can be used in a Fi set up...

Re: Pro's & Con's of Hell fire rings

Little update for anyone interested. I just got off the tech line with Federal Mogul from speaking with them about their Hell Fire rings. I explained that my car is going to see very minimal, if any track use and only sees about 300 to 500 miles a year. I explained that there is a big concern about the longevity of these rings (Hell Fire) on cylinder walls and problems with them scarring the walls and they stated that the Hell Fire rings are no harder on cylinder walls then a standard PLasma Moly set. They said that there should be no problems. I also spoke with another board memeber here and on Camaroz28.com that has them in his car and he just did a tear down after 14K miles and they showed no abnormal wear on the walls. So, looks like I am going with the Hell Fire's along with my Diamond Blower pistons.
