Plans for next year neen opinion on AFR heads.

I plan on running this set up as quick as i can possibly get it this year, over the winter i need to go over the buttom end, rings/bearings. Want to upgrade the top end, good set of heads, vic junior and headman 1 7/8 headers. Its a boosted aplication of course and i know that it dosent matter as much as when you are n/a. Either way i want the best 23 degree head possible. 227s, 220s or 215RR?
Thoughts opinions would be apriciated.
this current set up works gread but not for my plans, just a little to restrictive.

I'd look into the RHS SBC heads (235 runner) they are pretty cheap (Around 1200 I believe?)and flow Great numbers out of the box. Get them convertered and you can bolt up any SBC single plane to it. If I was to do it all over again thats what I would do. The 1 7/8 headers will require no heater Box (don't know if that is a problem for you or not?) I'll be ordering some 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 Stepped Kooks soon myself.
How much abuse do you have on that Bottem end??

No heat or a/c here. Whats it usually cost to convert a set of heads? i heard some people say around $400? Buttom end has about 25 dyno pulls and 15-20 passes on the procharger 2 years ago, this year i already have 42 dyno pulls and 10+ passes. I think its just a good idea to replace rings/bearings before anything happens.

The Darts are 180cc out of the box, this guy is obviously a "bigger is better" thinker so don't waste his time telling him to look at something he will automatically dismiss.

For max effort boosted applications I think the AI 215 Trickflow is hard to beat and just use a modified stock intake.

If you want "The BEST 23* head out there" look into a Chapman or All Pro.

I would do like KID said, which is exactly what I did. Converted a set of RHS(Pro Topline) 235's and bolted a Super Vic to it.

The heads bare were $800, conversion $400.

Some people might say CFE makes the best 23 degree head.

Not the quickest solution...but certainly the best would be the AllPro 245 RR. One of the easiest conversions in the 23 degree world.

For the money, why not go 15/18 degree? It is the cheapest 75-100 HP you can buy! between the head cost difference and rework of headers, you are still @ about $8-10 per HP....that is crazy cheap!

You could try to get a set of those Dart Little Chief heads to work, it would be expensive but the power potential is amazing (not a 23* head btw).

Actually..that is kind of funny you say that...

I have an LTx block with a Billet valley and a set of Dart LC's for the purpose.

It is hard to find someone with enough guts and cash though!

Yeah I think I saw the price as ~$2400 a set for bare castings. Not to mention setting up the valvetrain for 11* heads with canted valves. I can only assume you got the smaller intake port head? Let me know if you put them on a flow bench, I'm really interested in seeing the low lift numbers as Dart only tells us what they got at .900 lift

With dished pistons (which I can only assume you have with a blower motor) you may not have to change them. The reason for changing pistons is that the different valve angle would cause the valve to no longer fit into the relief on flat top or domed pistons.

-36cc or 26 dont really rememember since its been soo long but my heads are 54cc and those are the largest dish je custom makes.
so what i would need to do to acomplish this?
Heads of course and have them converted
shaft mounted rockers
headers reworked-----more info on this would be apriciated since i know Dave i'm sure had to get this done with SB2.2 heads.
