I realize this may not be the right place for this post, but i dont' see how it fits anywhere else so....
I'm thinking of undertaking a project similar to Jim Labreck's in which i may be putting an lt1 or ls1 in a 3rd gen Rx-7. Definitely not as extreme as Jim's but i'd still like 400-425rwhp N/A plus 150 shot N20(maybe more)
I'll probably go with a 383, and i'm looking for a shop to build my motor or at least the bottom end.
I'd like to go with Nu-tek, but sounds like he's very busy. More Performance is close in Charlotte, but they're a little overpriced. I've read some bad things about agostino, and so i'd like your opinion on this place www.strokerkits.com , AKA allied motors in st charles, MO.
Anyone dealt with them before or know someone who has? Any other reputable shops that i should look into. Thanks guys!

I believe you're the guy who just asked me to mail you..
as far as more goes.. they run alot of stuff out at mooresville dragway.. & i have yet to see anything running what it 'should.'
*shrug* other than that, I havent seen their machine shop. I hear it's pretty and well equipped, but that doesnt mean a whole lot unless you've got actual professionals running it.
Hope ya figure it out.

skarodom, i'd love for you to give me a recommendation for my goals and how much it would cost for you to build something like that. I think something like "Dr. Mudge's" settup but on a 383 with beefed up bottom end would do the job. I'll be visiting a friend at Davidson College (not far from Concord) in a couple weeks and would love to check out your shop if you wouldn't mind. Lemme know...
