I believe that this may be the unit that showed so much potential that NHRA suspended its use in the "performance-oriented" classes such as Pro Stock, Comp, Super Stock, Stock.

Would that be the same component that got the 7AL-2 (I think that's the model) outlawed?

As I recall, the 7AL-2 was not the box that was banned. I believe that it was a version of the "Digital 7" or "Digital 8?" There are a couple that are approved but one with a very similar ID number that offered too much electronic control of the car functions.

That thing is interesting. How would that work inside the car though? As far as what you do with the pedal and so on. Looks like an interesting concept.

You are right, it is the Digital 7 that is outlawed in the NHRA competition classes.

Ya they outlawed the dig seven box but this deal has not been banned!
ya know why???
its because it dose not force a racer to replace his whole
ingition system for this ground braking advantage!
That was the issue...$$$ of the dig 7 and the unfair advantage it was viewed to have over any other ingiton box made.
Now anyone can update with this DLC and have in my opinion the best item in the dig seven

I would not call it a dig 7...
This is only a add on box that contains just "ONE" of the many features found in a dig 7!

Price a digital seven and look at what this deal cost.
Both will need the programer or a laptop and thats the only other thing they have in common.
