LT1 into RX7
True.
You just have to remember that 2nd and 3rd gen. RX-7s have short ring and pinion gears (4.10:1 for manual cars and 3.90:1 for automatics) and a 700R4/4L60E's 4th gear (0.70:1) is going to put the engine at about 2,700 rpm @ 70 mph with a stock diameter tire (P225/50-16 or ~24.8" tall for a 3rd gen.). However, there are now conversion kits available for installing Ford Cobra 8.8" IRS differentials in both 2nd and 3rd gen. RX-7s, so you can have an automatic transmission and get your fuel economy back.

Might make for a good drifting package though with the front end weight. If your into that sorta thing. I like goin straight myself.
3rd gen. RX-7/LS1 conversions typically end up very close to the stock 50/50 weight distribution and the conversion only adds about 60 lbs. for those who keep their power steering and air conditioning and have to have emissions equipment. Afterward, they go straight and turn corners just fine.

CPT cars, last car on the page.
That's how a light mazda hooks a low first gear with 4.10's a 3600 stall and a 150 shot with 245 drag radials.
good ? i was wondering that myself
What's left to see?
