LT1 or Gen 1

looking to build a new motor for my car. I know my way around both fairly well, and it will be turbod.

And, i will be starting from scratch on either one, the only thing i have for the LT1 is a block lol

Looking to make about 750 at the wheels with 15PSI.

Other than the reverse cooling, does the LT1 have ANY advantage?

Carb or FI? I would say LT1 because FI is already established and you can get plenty of cheap parts used on this site.

it'd be injected...which with the gen-1 wouldnt be hard either. I already have megasquirt, so i would control the gen 1 with that.
Then add a EFI intake, and it'd be done. I already have an 860performance elbow

Starting from scratch? LSx base for sure. Gen I is second choice. That leaves LTx bringing up the rear!

well, i looked at LSX, but, LSx is too $$ for my taste for my goals.

So, looks like im probably going with a gen I. Anybody know how much power a 72 4 bolt block could take?
