LT-1 Dowel pin

Heres the story for my 95 LT-1 Z-28. I needed a new dowel pin for where the head goes up to the block. The block came back from the machine shop without one. So the machine shop gave me a dowel pin for Chevy 350. Need less to say like a stupid idiot (me), the original dowl pin came out in the head. The machine shop had the heads. So I replace the dowel pin in the block before I had the heads back. Now the head won't go on. I tried to take a vicescript to the dowel pin on the block. It won't come out, and the pin is all galled up now. The dowel pin measured 3.11mm on the block and 3.8mm is the one that came out of the head. So I am guessing if I take the motor to the machine shop for removal, the holes are going to be different sizes between the head and block now. So I am not sure what to do? Help or advice please on how to correct the discrepancy?

Thanks:

ZMAN

Re: LT-1 Dowel pin

You need a dowel pin puller to get them out man. Your machine shop should have one since they yank them out to deck the block.
