LSx intake cross section?

Does anyone know what the cross section of either intake is? I am doing some research, but have been unable to find anything.

Thanks
Jeremy

The cross section shape changes along the runners, and I believe that the runner cross sectional area tapers from plenum to head, as it should. I couldn't measure the ones I saw. My guess would be about 1/2 to 1 degree of taper, if that's what you are looking for.

Anyone with one can give you the port dimensions at the head, and the effective length of the runners if they disassemble it. Try the different tapers (per side) to approximate the effective shape if you are using engine modeling software.

Do you think that a 3" cs is close for an avg? I don't have one in front of me or a way to get ahold of one. I am talking about the LS1/6 intakes if anyone is wondering, not the new LSX.

Maybe 7 inch long runners. (Those are real inches not 'guy' inches where a real 3 inches is 7 'guy' inches.)
