this is kind of advanced i have two problems first one the car runs fine ,so i think i had the hood up at night and had a friggen light show driver side was sparking ,,,,but not from the boots from the wire to the block ?
i touched the wire and got shocked
also it was arking from the inlet of the optispark that is new ,the coil is new plug wires as well
i had a dig 6 on it i took it off and put it back to stock settings still there do i have a bad ground somewhere ? i checked the main ...running out of ideas ....also i think this is affecting why my pump cant work undre a load ....not enough voltage

second one.. my fuel pressure drops off when i spray it i changed out two pumps

could ther be a short .or a voltage draw ???
not letting the pump get full power

 

Ok first please post what year/car/engine you have so that people can help you with this problem.

Next what fuel pump do you have? You say that 'the pump cant work' what do you mean? How did you determine this? Is the car running lean? If your spraying a decent shot and have a few mods and this is on the stock pump it may just not be up to the task. Please provide more info.

thanks i wll check if i have a bad ground for the arking prob
first its a 94 z28 with head work/intake nos cam froged pistions and som bolt on's

as far as the pump i had a walbro 255 gss340
in the car and when i sprayed it with a 150 shot /wet kit the car fell on its face at the top of second and the start of 3rd inoticed the fuel pressuer went down i put the stock pump back in and the same thing
when i sprayed it last year i had no problems
im stuck

 

the pressure drops from 42 psi to 20 psi
the pump can handel it but maybe not if voltage is low ???

 

1. i ran a power line all by its self from a switch to turn the pump on and off still did the same thing so i put the stock f.p.r. on and hit it it droped for a second put then came back up and stayed at 38 psi but the car didnt feel that fast not enough fuel ,,,put the pressure didnt drop and stay ...bad f.p.r ..
2.no its still a light show mostly from one plug and the coil and the opti..]
help !!!!!!!!!!
