The infamous brake problem after Hotcam Install! No one knows the answer!!!! HELP!

(LT1) After Hotcam Kit install the pedal is LOW! BRAKE & ABS Light On

Replaced:
Master & Res.
ABS Unit
Booster
EBCM

Checked:
Blockage in lines
Air in lines
Fluid Level
Vacuum Lines
Vacuum Level

Vacuum reading is @ 28-30c. I was told that was average. Anyone have any ideas? I'm dying to know the answer to this one! Is it possible to have the cam off a tooth or two? If so then wouldn't it show on the vacuum readings???? If vacuum reading is good then throwing a canister on it would be pointless, but if it needs it then I think the cam is off if possible, since others are having no problems at all!

THANKS IN ADVANCE! BRAKES ARE DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!!

you do know that if the abs light is on that the abs module has to be rehomed and the system pressure bled right

But here's the thing, the ABS light must have been on for a long time because the bulb WAS blown in the cluster.

Also the problem showed up after the hotcam install. I THEN replaced the abs unit (module, controller..same thing)...
I bled it at the unit with someone else applying pressure with the brake pedal... IS that what you mean? If so then YES I did pressure bled it.

no it has to be rohomed with a tech 1 scan tool and to pressure bleed the system it has to be done with a special machine...when the abs light is on you can gravity bleed or manual bleed like you did

what i think happened is something else went wrong with the braking it got air somehow and then you replaced the abs unit which a new one would have to be rehomed anyhow so now you have to get the abs rehomed and the system pressure bled...if the light goes off after you start the engine then you can manual bleed or gravity bleed but if the light stays on you have to pressure bleed and have it rehomed...it has something to do with the acumulator or something like that i went through this after my ls1 install along with the bleeder screws being upside down

i really dont think the cam has much to do with it because if there was low vac the pedal would be hard to push not go all the way to the floor and be easy to push. i think it was a big coincidence

Thanks Predator! You've been the most helpful person!!!!

Nice new banner on the website. I'll see what I can do.

Most likely I'm gonna have to go to the dealer for something like that, right???

Question

OK, I'm lost...Someone want to explain to me how changing a cam can cause problems with the ABS. I know an aggressive cam will make less vacume, but that would not cause an ABS problem to my knowledge.
