Post I want to rebuild rear myself any help sites?

I have a new carrier and am getting 4.10 gears and want to do it myself. The mechanic at work says that it is easy to do with a 10 bolt. So are there any sites that would help and do you guys recommend any manuals to help? TIA

Here are a few good sites:
http://www.tecinfo.com/~rsguy2/install.htm
http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Downs/4013/re.html

Maybe someone will pop in that has some hands on experience and give you some insight and tips.

I built one a while back. You need a recording lb/in torque wrench, various drivers and pullers for the bearings, an extra pinion bearing is helpful - you enlarge the center race to do trial fitment for shimming the pinion depth. You need a way to measure pinion depth (Protech), and a dial indicator to measure backlash. I would order the Ratech crush sleeve eliminator for $15 and pitch the crush sleeve that comes with the kit. Spring for the studs and HD cover. Weld the tubes. Use blue locktite on the new pinion yoke nut and use red on the crossbolt retaining screw. Set the pattern for a little more toe cause it's going to flex under load. There's a lot of good info out there - a lot of my info came from the car rags.

Richmond sells a video under $20 that was real helpful too. I think I got it at Summit.
