I suggest you take this to some lounge somewhere else.
Big WOB on Advanced Tech, in my opinion. Big.
(WOB = Waste Of Bandwidth)

Line-by-line it is what he's asking. the direct relationship between "weight" and "drag racing or making a car accelerate at faster rates."
........................Step 1:base Step 2 Step 3 Step 4 Step 5 step6 Step 7
Curb Weight: 2,762 lbs 2,707 2,434 2,252 1,904 1,760 1,674
1/4 Mile: ..... 16.3@84.0 mph 16.0@85.5 15.5@82.5 15.2@89.6 14.7@90.7 14.4@92.2 14.4@92.2

0-60 mph: 8.6 sec. 8.1 7.5 7.1 6.3 6.0 5.8
I did remove my post though out of respect.

The faster you go, more hp is required to gain the same amount of ET improvement. The slow cars are happy to find ways to gain that extra second or 2 and it isn't that hard. Fast cars are happy to find that extra tenth or 2 because it takes a lot more to get that improvement.
Like I mentioned before, taking 200 pounds off a heavy car is easier to do than taking 200 pounds off an already light car. It can be done but it also costs a lot more. My 260 pound cast iron Dart Big M block can be changed to a 100-150 pound aluminum block. If I only had the money.
