Post hp limits on cast 383 stroker

At what point will a cast piston short rod 383 self destruct? If it is related to rpm and I limit that to 5500 rpm, is there a way to increase the hp? My engine has edlebrock performer rpm heads, cam and intake with a 600 cfm dbl pump.

If the heads were ported, will I see hp improvements up to the redline, or would the redline have to increase to take advantage of the better breathing?

Almost any kind of heads will improve breathing for the 383 even at a meager 5500 or whatever RPM, because you need more air in/out with the more cubes that you have.

For NA cast (are they hypers or what?) pistons are ok, cast crank too I imagine? Parts should be listed with how much power they can take approximately.
