How to check and re-assemble the oil pump?
How to check and re-assemble the oil pump?
I have mine pulled out to check specs, and install the "white" spring in my new Melling pump. Now I need some expert advice (since I need this to be right the first time.
First of all, what specs should I check, and what is acceptable?
Second, how do I go about re-assembling it? How much torque on the pump plate, should I use loc-tite, do both surfaces need to be really clean?
I cant get any good answers on something this specific elsewhere.
Thanks,
James
