Help with Solid roller setup
Re: Help with Solid roller setup
I didn't run restrictors, and had no oiling problems in 1500 miles of street duty. However, mismatched valvesprings made short work of the lifters and cam.
To me, restrictors don't make much sense, and a couple of valvatrain specialists agreed. However, if Patty (P. Carter) ran them without a problem, I'd say it isn't that big of a deal as long as your valve train is matched up properly.
For what its worth, don't buy Isky Red Zone lifters if there is any chance you'd return them. their customer service is pitiful. Nolan, their internet guy, would never return a single phone call, and after they told me they'd give me a refund, I ended up with 80% of my money (after being told I'd get 85%). Maybe I'm just a bad customer...
Again, talk to the guys who are at the track going fast. My car ran decent for the problems I was against. However, I guess I'm telling you not to listen to me - my car only ran 12.0 @ 118
