Found a Gen V 454 - good deal?

I've posted that I am looking for a BBC on a few sites and I got a call this morning from a guy with a Gen V BBC 454 from a '91 or '92 454SS 1500. The engine is disassembled and complete, and has not had any work done to the block. He gave me a price of $850 for everything. From searching this series engine, it appears that it is a 4 bolt setup. Does this sound like a decent deal?

When you say 'disassembled and complete' do you mean that it is half and half?
Does it include intake, heads, etc? Or is it just the block and rotating assembly?

Either way it sounds like a great deal to me, obviously better with intake and heads though. Sounds like you would want to go ahead and get it reconditioned though...rings, bearings, etc., but thats a given.

Well the disassembled part sucks because if it wasn't broke why did he take it apart.
Are the new ones roller since the SBC was from 87? That alone would make it desirable. Also if it came with the serpintine setup that would be excellent as opposed to the old school v-belt
