Fluidamper, vs ATI, vs Jegs, vs stock damper

What are you gusy thoughts? Heard good and bad about the Fluidamper? Has it ever caused problems for anyone? Someoen mentioned you have to warm it up on cold days before it becomes viscous enough to work???

WIll a fluidamper help keep a cast crank alive more so then a Jegs 200 dolla special or even a stocker? Do you need another crank hub for the Jegs?

well i have 1st hand experience with the JEGS damper, the hub will not fit the stock damper piece so you have to get both pieces so i would go get the ATI superdamper

I did alot of research on this. I went with the Fluildampr. I have used them on many past vehicals with great results. Warren Johnson uses them in his Pro stock also.

The best selling point for me came from the ATI site. Even by there own admission the Fluidamper does a better job at killing harmonics in the operating range the Stock PCM allows(shut down at 7,000-7,200).

ABOVE 7,000 the ATI rocks. SO if you are running a Stock car that never really revs below 7,000RPMs use the ATI.

For street use on a hard charging motor that gets shifted AT or before 7,000 use the Fluidamper.

Do your self a favor. next time you drive your car see how many times and for how long you rev over 7,000. Also note how much time you spend below that number

Either part listed is a great part but always keep in mind the operating range

Good luck man!

they told me that the fluiddampar will outperform the ATI from idle to 7000 rpm. above 7000 rpm ATI is better. also they said that ATI will begin working from 4000 rpm and not from idle as the fluiddamper.

The Fluidampr is about the best one out there. GM even recomends it. If you are going to pay me to run someone elses unit, it's still not going to change my mind, it didn't in the Engine Masters and the Fluidampr Signature Series is not a cheap unit.
