Exhaust

I never got any strait answer before so maybe someone has tested or will see the post this time that has the answer. I have longtubes on an LT1 and a foot of 3 inch od pipes extending off then collectors then nothing, now I made some pretty good numbers and pretty good low end torque with that but do I have anything to gain by putting on a 2.5" dual strait x-pipe exhaust, no mufflers or anything just pipe with an x to connect them, and how different if any would the torque curve be if I added a 3 inch dual exhaust over the no exhaust with the 3 inch od pipes??

See if anyone catches it now I posted pretty late... I also heard that the x in the pipe helps scavenging between the banks of the engine, does it really do that, that far down the exhaust system?

Try page 5 and 6 (of 7!) on this thread:

Read MaxRaceSoftware posts on collector length. You are probably only a little short on your collectors.
