cylinder liners for LT1

Does anyone know where I can find some cylinder liners for an LT1? I've conducted a search of this board and couldn't find anything on the subject. Also, all the small block cylinder liners I've found on the net are for pre-LTx blocks. I would have thought a regular, or oversized for that matter, cylinder liner for any cast iron SBC w/regular deck height would work in an LT1 but evertime I find one, they say "except LT1" in the description--I must be missing something or every vendor is adding that comment out of habbit. I have three questions:

1. is anyone on this board running regular or oversized cylinder liners on their LT1?
2. if so, where did they get them? and,
3. have they had any leaking or other problems with them?

Thanks for the reply. This morning I spoke with a crusty old machinists that has been in the engine building/racing business for 27 years. He thought he could put either a stock bore or an oversized bore sleeve (4.125") into the LT1 block without a problem. He also said he would recommend putting a coupe of inches of fill in the water jacket to stiffen up the block for the oversized sleeve. His name is Clyde and the number to his shop here in Kansas City is (816) 461-1164. Also, I spoke with Don Burlington (Senior) from Burlington Performance in Rayton, Mo (he's an engine builder for a lot of 6 second cars around here) and he said he could clearance the LT1 block to accept a 4" stroker crank...it would be a pain (which I interpreted as expensive) but he could do it! Yep, that adds up to a 427 cid LTx engine. The down side would be cost, Clyde gets $125 a sleeve ($1000 to big-bore sleeve it) plus the cost to clearance it, plus the cost of custom pistons, plus....it is quickley getting outside my budget for a rebuild. However, I thought you guys might interested.....
Thanks,
CT

Don't the ls1 guys sleeve their blocks for the 427 and 422 cid motors? Sounds pretty sweet to do a 427 lt1 engine. What kind of rods would you have to run with a setup like that? Also what is the bore to get a 427?

This 427 ci combo sounds interesting. Being engines run hotter when they are bored beyond .040........ wouldn't it overheat??

I think it would be an oversized unit, so at 4.125 " it would be the "stock" bore dimension for that particular sleeve.

This isn't something I'm planning on building, it's simply a discovery project to see what is possible. Personally, the piston skirts and compression height are both too short...I want to build an engine that will last a little longer.
