No I get ya there but side clearance is usually measured between the rods... so a narrower rod journal will in turn close that clearance.

I could be wrong too..... Either way I wouldn't stress about it and it's not easy to fix.
Hell I found some SB2 bare castings on ebay but once I noticed that they were not SB2.2's I knew why they were so cheap..... if they were 2.2's I would have been in cahoots with MG.
