Which bearings should we use with a Callies Dragon Slayer crank and Eagle H rods?

Clevite 77?

Federal Mogul?

H? P?

This motor will put out about 420+rwhp.

Some builders like to use the the non "h" to make sure the bearings are damaged before the crank is. That about all I known. I will be going with 77h bearings tho. I had these in my all lunati 396 with no issues.

Have had good luck with both Clevite 77H, and King Alecular bearings. I've got King bearings in my stroker now with no trouble, and these are the same ones run on my friends bracket rail 406 SB spinning to around 8500 with no trouble round after round. They are very good. Not cheap, but good.

The big debate at the shop right now is whether to go with H or P bearings and how long they would last.

 

why not stay with the kings? thats what i plan on using on my next motor. ill tell you what though, i used Clevite 77H's not my current motor, shes got 2 years 25,000+ HARD miles man, i drive it like i stole it every time i get in it. i got atleast 2 bad piston rings i srayed the hell outa the motor, 150wet shot just for fun all the time. motor still runs great just has low compresson in 3 cylinders but im happy with the H's. gonna try coated kings next time.
