Question anyone used hardened axles in a 10 bolt?

Has anyone used hardened axles in a stock 10 bolt. I will be getting my 4.10's and rear girdle put in as soon as i get my wheels and tires, then i thought, why don't i try and replace the axles with some hardened ones while i was at it. I don't plan on any more big mods other than heads and cam in the future. I used to always put moser axles in my friends 5.0's and i was wondering if anyone has done it to an ls1.

Before I switched to a 9" I was running aftermarket axles in a 10 bolt. "IF" you manage to break a factory axle before breaking teeth off that tiny ring and pinion, then consider going to an aftermarket axle. Chances are you'll shear teeth off first.

I went to a 9" because of a very high stall converter and a transbrake. I didn't think the 7.5" ring and pinion would take more than one hit off the transbrake.
