Anyone use Dragonslayer 5.85 rods

Anyone use Dragonslayer 5.85 rods

I am lookin at a 383 kit, and I am not to familiar with the rods included. They are 5.85" dragonslayer rods part # CIB3. Anyone know anything about them???? Thanks for any info.

I believe that Oliver makes them for Callies. They are a forged rod good for NA type setups.

"DragonSlayer Connecting rods are American Made from quality 4340 material. For strength and dimensional stability each rod is double heat treated and shot peened. Ampco 18 material pin bushing are used in both SB and BB applications. Small block rods employ 3/8 (190,000psi) ARP cap screw fasteners and are rated to 525hp. "

Thanks for the info. I did find out that manley actually makes that rod for them. I think I will have to go with the Pro I's that are made by oliver. Thanks again

The "dragonslayer" rods are actually a Manely rod as mentioned above. Decent, maybe on par with a Scat 4340 I-beam but definitely not on par with a Oliver Pro "I" or Lunati Pro Mod rod.
