AFAIC, anyone that needs or even considers a filled block should be beyond the OEM knock sensors. Besides, their effectiveness at high RPM is suspect as best.

Does anyone know if you can run antifreeze with block filler?

Running a half filled Block here also. If you do a search there may be some info on how I went about it. I used surgical tube to get water to the sensors. After it had set up I just pulled it out.

Running on the street it coolant temps are so low at times the heater barely putts out heat Oil temps are up more then I like but I am just going to add a oil cooler to control them.

Running in rush hour traffic in Seattle 70 degree day it took a half an hour for the fans to finally come on

Man I don't know about you but I value the stock knock sensors not at WOT but at the street lug zone. That's when you'll more than likely have detonation in a typical hot rodded high static and dynamic compression ratio pump gas motor, (that is being used on the street).

Adding block fill seems to me at least to be good for any motor, street or race.

The one motor I did fill and recently test on the street did use stock knock sensors and they did seem to work "normally" and did not pickup false knock. They actually picked up real knock. That's kinda why I asked about it in the first place because I was seeing lots of knock counts. Since then I've learned it was true knock.
Was hoping to get some more first hand experience from anyone else using knock sensors. My one test is all I have for experience.

Ellis, you running knock sensors? Even if your tune has them turned off, are you still running them in the block. I'd be interested in seeing your datamaster logs of some street lug low rpm high map.

Karl

Career ender, yes you can run antifreeze with block filler, (or so it says on the instructions).

I ran an angle fill in my 401ci motor. It defiantly ran hottter, but nothing I couldnt contain with a big *** radiator (road racing).

You going to put N2O in that? 500p doesn't need it, over 600hp starts too.

Talking to me? I am going to have about 600crank hp with the le2 and nitrous build.... in your previous post on here you said it is good to have because it adds "stability to the bottom of the bores". ---
