My take is that this thread was about more than 1/4 mile blasts. Dry blocks could be a problem on the street or a road course.
$6700 isn't cheap even for a dry block.

You can get them in a wet or dry configuration.
You can even see pics of there blocks with the waterpump holes.
The thing is they can modify there cad program and make it an LT1 for a lot less than to retool an entire block.

$6700 and up is still alot of $ to get an aluminum block.
Ask them how much to tool for an LT1 specific block and let us know.

IF they do a crate LS7 it won't be cheap, but it should be worth about anything they ask. At $15 large it would be a bargain.
Question: How many 500 hp production engines come in cars that are fuel efficient enough to NOT have to pay the gas guzzler tax?
Answer: One as soon as the new Z06 with LS7 is available. Let's see now, a little more cam....
