Thanks for all your input guys,

OldSStroker- "Just for grins, I tried a 3192/3196 224/236@ 112LSA; also 4* advanced. On EA Pro, it showed torque at 4500, power at 6000 and about 30 more hp. Now overlap is +4* @ .050 and about 2-3 in hg less idle vacuum"

I'd be curious as to what kind of TQ and HP you think this combo would make at 4500 and 6000? Also, TPIS is doing my machine work and have mentioned their ZZ9X as a option. I would be curious what EA Pro had to say about it. 225 240 and .525 .558 @ 112.

Brook- "ive never seen a car with the hot cam in it that had much surge"

My 95Z with a Ed Wright tune up would start rattling 2000 rpm and lower with little or no load. The MSD box helped a little. At the time (2000) Ed was highly recommended and everything I was reading on the boards was saying expect some surge. I had nothing ells to compare too that I could drive and compare to eliminate subjectivity. Thanks for the input.

Eric- "As it sounds like the car is used in the twisties"

YUP! And yes, my 95 is set up plenty firm also.

Bret- "maybe even up to a 3194/3196 still on the 112-114 LSA "

Could you hook me up with the numbers that go with these? 230 236?

Thanks again, msw

The cam I have is a 232/242 .544/.560 lift on 110 LSA w/ my 396. Initially had a lot of cam surge and would kill my pwr steering periodically. However that is no longer the case and drivability is very good IMO. W/out cats down low the torque is a little less but not noticeable to the average driver. Doesn't help either w/ a alum fly and ACPT shaft or 3.23's M6.....I know I know. But she was built for the autobahn/ RR in mind so the gears stay

I don't know where she peaks at either because she has power from 1500 up to 6600 w/ it still pulling strong at 6750. I can put it 1st gear and let out the clutch and she'll roll at 5mphs all day long w/ no herk and jerk whatsoever.....I like the cam so much I'll be getting another made w/ a little more lift just to see what it does.

A 3192/3196 cam is a 224/236 with .567/.585 (1.5's) .605/.624 (1.6's) on a 112-114 LSA.

A 3194 is just a high lift 230 duration cam.

you could go with more duration here, but with these lobes your total flow area is so great that it makes up for the duration.

If I wanted more duration I would go to a solid roller anyways.
