383 Windage tray

I'm looking to get a windage tray on my 383 stroker. When we took it all apart, we saw it didn't have one. Anyone here have a stock tray on a stroker motor? If no, someone shoot me a recommendation for a good midpriced/budget pan that has a tray to clear my scat stroker crank.

This rebuild is taking longer than expected

Re: 383 Windage tray

I just bought the Milodon diamond screen tray, and trimmed it to fit the crank, there were actually only a few places that needed to be tweaked. The stock pan fit on with mild adjustment as well.

Re: 383 Windage tray

I'm running the stock windage tray with an Eagle 383 crank and Eagle H-beam rods. I ended up using ARP main studs for the 400 SBC to give the clearance required and even still, the pan required some modifications with the hammer to clear the rods, but it will work.

I used the miloden as well and with a little trimming it fit nice. Although, if you want to try and modify a stock one I have one Ill sell for $12 if you need on.

Re: 383 Windage tray

I've got a Milodon Diamonds Stripper in my 383 and all I had to do was elongate 1 bolt hole and trim for the dipstick tube to pass. I also have both the Canton oilpan and a Milodon 7qt.
