383 stroker diagnostics LTCC

I'm 3 weeks from having my all Callies forged 396 solid roller stroker in my car. Built my LTCC brackets, got my MAGNECORE 10mm R-100 (12") wires in today, just sitting there, so we decided to thow the setup on my buddies brand new 383 stroker which is smoking bad, black smoke like it's too rich and it stumbles, has the 3 blinking reds lights on the LTCC box. We pulled his MSD 8.5mm wires off (Bob Bailey doesn't recommend them anyway) and we put mine on. Car ran MUCH better and it took some stumble out of it and no more 3 blinks out of the box, but it still wasn't optimal, had a stumble with not quite as much fuel smoke, so we pulled his old coils off and dropped my new setup in place, BIG difference, ran much better but still had smoke just not near as bad. We then adjusted his Volumetric Efficiency vs KPA vs RPM tables and pulled fuel out throughout the entire band. Total PIA in this crapy 90s LT1 edit software...compared to F.A.S.T. Anyway it ran it's best at this point, little smoke but not like it was.

Also what does KPA stand for again?

Next step is changing the plugs (3rd time) were thinking they might be fouled again for testing for weeks now with this rich tune.

If anyone has any info that might help us out we'd appreciate it.

My setup below is what we threw on temporarily

What injectors are you running and what constant is programmed in? Anybody monkeyed with the MAF? KPA = Kilopascal.

I'm running 42 for my build, the car were needing help with has 30# which for the small heads he's running helped it run better than the 42's we swapped. The MAF is a brand new JET Powerchip, sure it's fine. I'll ask him if about the constant, not sure. Thanks.

Props to Bob Bailey (TurboBob), he states not to use MSD wires and sure enough was the part of the problem. We started with putting on the 10mm R-100 MAGNECOR's and it made a significant difference, so we then changed out to my coil packs from the pic, and it really smoothed out and the throttle was responsive, still smokes slightly @WOT so we leaned out from 2500 ~ 6900 and that helped. We think his plugs might be fouling.

Does anyone know how to multitest the LS1 coils? I used Shoebox's method for the old MSD Blaster coil works great. I set the MT to 10000 ohms, grounded the coil output and touched each of the 4 pinouts, just stuck @ 1, sure I'm doing it wrong.

ThankS
