Y-Pipe from 4th gen on a 3ed gen??

Hi,
I have a Mufflex 3in to 4.5in then down to 3in Y-pipe for a 4th gen LT1 camaro. I was wandering if there is any possibility that it might fit on an 88 IROC with hooker LTs? Thanks for any info you might have.

Due to differences in the front sub frame and oil pans. There seems to be little hope of getting a 4th gen Y pipe on a 3rd gen car with out extensive modifications (basically, fabricating a new y pipe). However, you should be fine with the rear section of the exhaust. From the rear bumper to about the transmission crossmember should fit the 3rd gen and you will need to have something fabricated between the headers and that part of the exhaust kit.

Hope this helps.
