I was in a parts yard and saw a set of recaros there all crapped out just laying on the ground.

Not sure if they were from a third-gen, but they had the open headrest with mesh (intact). the bottom bolster that goes under your legs said 'recaro' on it.

Think it would be worthwhile to get them (probably cost next to nothing) and have them recovered? I need a new set for the thirdgen and they looked like they'd be a nice set if they were repadded/recovered.

Anyone know how much a good set usually goes for?

 

If you can get them covered affordably, I'd say definately. Nice recaros seem to fetch $400 or more on Ebay.

Holy crap...those are the EXACT ones. Only difference in the bolsters on the ones I found say 'recaro' on them.

Gonna have to go pick them up...

 

If they're from a thirdgen, they might have the same headrest, but the actual chair is different. There's another torn up set on Ebay right now, and if you look at them you'll see the differences.
