wiring info needed

what can i wire a 12v light to,, i need something that comes on and stays on when the car is running as in always powered up,, and shuts off when the car is not running??? any help* appreciated????

12 volt ignition wire in the back of your radio wiring. I hooked into that for my radar detector.

what color indicates that hot ignition wire?????

take a multi meter, find out what is hot with key on engine off, constant, ect. you should look for an orange , yellow or red.

Did you click on my link? Tap into the yellow wire going into the back of your radio.
