In most cases the pump dried out for lack of use. You will have to prime the pump if its still working.

Don't start the car but put it in run position and try the wiper fluid spray. If you don't hear a sound go to the wiper motor and hook up a light there where you can see it and try flipping the switch. If it lights up there is power at the pump. In that case, buy a new pump. If not you need to trace wires and what not.

I went through the same thing. I even went through the trouble of swapping the motor, still did it. It works now, but unless you use it daily, even as I do, it still sticks. I always heard the motor, just nothing came out. I find that if I give the car gas, or stop quickly, the sudden change in motion sometimes forces the liquid through. Weird, but it never fails. I changed all the rubber hoses, lubed everything up, still does it. Sometimes I can sit there and hold that thing for a good 25-30 seconds before anything comes out. Its a pain, but not much you can do. Hope that helps//

You probably have a leak... look where the wiper motor is first.. my car did this when I first bought it but I found the hose was laying on the wiper setup and over time got eaten away
