Talking window motor question

For those of you that have changed your power window motors and replaced the rivets: what size were the new bolts you put in and how many did you have to use? TIA

The rivits are 1/4" so you might get by with a bolt 1/4"X1/2"long just dont want the bolts to hit the regulater.Might have to put them in from the back side if possible I used new rivits when I changed mine They are not fun to change it is easyer if you leave the window in just have someone hold it up .If you have problems with the bolts hitting just put 2 bolts in to hold it and take it to your local bodyshop and have them put the rivits in shoudnt cost more than $10-20 for them to just put in rivits... Good luck L8R Sean

I used 1/4"-20 thread (I think) by 1/2" long bolts wherever there was a rivet initally....but it's a pain to get those bolts in I'll tell ya....would be easier to borrow/rent/buy a hand riveter and just re-rivet the thing.
