Will l98 heads bolt up without any problems?
Ive been thinking about buying a set of l98 heads off of someone and was wondering if there would be any problems. Also both the aluminum and cast iron heads are the same but for the material they are made out of right?

iron L98 heads are a direct bolt on, corvette aluminum will require modification to the center bolt holes on each side of the intake for alignment(easy to do)
are the heads stock or have they been worked?
personally i am not a big fan of spending much money on stock castings unless they have been modded a bit. bpth iron and aluminum casting are good designs, so all it would take is a 3 angle valve job and a little pocket port and polish to maek them really flow great for your LO3.
while you have the heads off you may wanna look fo ra used LT1 cam, you have most of the motor apart anyway, so why not

for iron ones i woudl only spend about 50-100 depending on condition. aluminum ones sell for about 500 a pair for ones that need a rebuild.
